DPS SHARJAH TEAMS EXCEL
IN CBSE UAE CLUSTER CHAMPIONSHIPS
TABLE TENNIS
DPS Sharjah Table Tennis Girls under 14 years, under 16 years and Boys
under 16 years teams have won the CBSE UAE Cluster TT tournaments held
at the Indian High School Dubai on 3rd October, 2012 and qualified to
participate in the CBSE National Championship held at the Durga Public
School, Solan.
SWIMMING
DPS Swimming teams Girls and Boys under 12 years, under 14 years, under
16 years and under 19 years performed exceedingly well in the CBSE UAE
Cluster championship held at the Abu Dhabi Indian School, Abu Dhabi.
Girls team secured 17 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 1 bronze medal to
grab overall championship. Our boys’ team secured 24 gold medals, 20
silver medals and 6 bronze and grabbed the overall Championship. 32
participants from our school qualified to participate in the CBSE
National Swimming Competitions held at Indira National School, Pune.
Individual Champions:

CHESS
DPS Sharjah Chess team (Girls under 14 years) won the CBSE UAE Cluster
Championship held at the Sharjah Indian School, Sharjah and qualified to
participate in the CBSE national Chess Championship held at the Indus
World School, Indore.
CRICKET
DPS Sharjah Cricket Senior team participated in the School T-20 World
Cup held at the DPS Aligarh and performed well by winning 2 matches
against the schools from Nepal and Assam.
BADMINTON
DPS Sharjah Badminton Girls
under 19 years team consists of Zahra Warorawala of 12 C, Anjana Urath
of 9 A and
Soumya Vijay of 9 D won the CBSE UAE Cluster championship held at the
Indian High School Dubai and qualified to participate in the CBSE
National Championship to be held at KHTG School, Hyderabad.
